Quick pop in to share a great craft activity with you. I have made bird feeders loads of times but never a bee and butterfly feeder. So E,T and I were very excited to make one during a visit to Wray Castle.
They are so simple to make. Take a paper plate and decorate in blues, yellows, reds and oranges to attract the insects. E chose to cover his in blue as he remembered that bees like lavender, and then he cut it into a flower shape. Next stick a large bottle top in the centre of the plate, punch holes round the edge and thread string through to make a hanger. Fill the bottle top with a sugar and water solution, hang outside and watch the bees come!
