Playing More – Play Dough

Fridays challenge on the Nurture Store’s Simple Play was play dough. So before T had her afternoon sleep we made and played with play dough. I’ve shared my quick recipe before but here it is again.
Mix together 2 cups of plain flour, 1 cup of salt, 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar. Add 2 tablespoons of oil. In a cup of boiling water place 2 fruit tea bags (purple and red are the best colours). Add to the mix and stir well until it forms into a ball. Leave to cool then play!
I made some lilac dough and then set up a very quick invitation to play. I put out the play dough, some silicone cup cake cases, a small rolling pin, a few biscuit cutters, a plate and a plastic cup and saucer. T loved this and worked on her own to create a plate full of cakes which she proudly presented to daddy. The play dough has had quite a few replays since Friday.
