Toast! on June was a low key affair as we knew a number of the community were away.
We explored the story of the 10 men with leprosy focussing on returning to say Thank You. Here’s what we did:
Decorated gingerbread men so that they looked ill and sad.
Made Thank you cards.
Played with people in the sand tray.
Used the doctors set to play Drs and Nurses with teddies and each other.
Made a Thanks prayer banner.
Drew round ourselves with chalk and made the people sad and spotty.
We acted out the story together (some of the children weren’t happy that only one returned to say thank you)!
Then we said thank you prayers as we blew bubbles and each took a bubble pot home.
