Light Night

Last night we headed into town for Light Night. Every May museums, galleries and arts venues across the city open late for a spectacular night of events.
This year there was samba drumming, storytelling, the opening of the new library, projections on buildings, candle lit labyrinths and much much more.
Everything was themed around memory.
So we began with childhood memories at The Brink. We played 80s games such as Mouse Trap Frustration, Guess Who and Rubiks Cube. We drank Dandelion and Burdock Floats. We munched on Drumstick lollies Swizzel sweets and Parma Violets. It was like being 7 again!

Outside FACT we listened to the Bookworm telling stories and encouraging others to join in.

At the Bluecoat we spotted Craftbombing.

And around the city we bumped into street artists, mad bands and projected images.
A brilliant and creative night which reminded me why I love this city.
