Easter Messy Church

Yesterday we headed to the local Messy Church to start our Easter Celebrations. They only meet sporadically so we like to go along. It’s great to do something with the kids without leading.
I love the way they always involve the church flower arrangers. This time they made crosses surrounded by greenery with a pipe cleaner person to represent Jesus.
There were cards and bookmarks, but the boys had 2 favourites. G spent ages decorating a glass as a reminder of the last supper. They used disposable wine glasses and decorated with shiny shapes.
Es favourite was an edible Easter Garden. The tomb was an egg box piece fixed to a paper plate. Then they added twiglet crosses, jelly baby people and sweets as flowers and stones. Needless to say the boys didn’t make ir home.
They also had people doing footwashing. My 2 didn’t want it but such a great idea.
