Dedication activities

On the 17 Feb we celebrated Ts first birthday and her dedication. We thought of having the dedication as part of Toast! but for various logistical reasons that didn’t work. Instead we had a Toast style service in the morning. So usual morning congregation plus Toast! people plus friends and family! It was loud and chaotic but filled with joy.

We focussed on Jesus meeting children through the story of the feeding of the 5000. Loads of stuff to tell you but I’ll add over the next few days. For now here are a couple of the activities.

We made paper plate baskets. Simply cut 8 slits around the edge of the plate fold up and staple together. Add a handle all done!

We also made a picnic blanket with patches that people decorated and added their name too. The kit for this is available from yellow moon or you may know people who could cut and punch squares for you.

T now has this in her memory box to remember her special day.
