This month at TOAST! we explored the story of Jesus healing a blindman with lots of activities to explore our sight and how we manage when we can’t see.
There were feely boxes; dark tents with torches to explore with; a maze to explore blindfolded; a selection of binoculars, viewfinders, glasses, magnifying glasses, microscopes and other things to look through; we painted pictures of things we liked to see; made masks and made these great binoculars (from Baker Ross)
Then we told the story emphasising that it is that Jesus shows he is loved and accepted that is important not that he makes him see. Then we thanked God for the things we like to see.
Amazingly we also celebrated TOAST!s 5th birthday – I can’t believe we have been going 5 years!
