We haven’t thought too much about Euro 2012 here – it seems to have come fast on the heels of Jubilee. But from Monday its football all the way – for S at least!
The boys are more interested in our Euro food challenge. Each day we have to choose one of the countries playing and then have a meal based around food from that country. S and I did this with the World Cup 2 years ago. This time the challenges are to find food the kids will eat and food from some countries that I’ve not a clue about their eating habits!
Next week’s menu will focus on England, Greece, Portugal, Italy and France. England and Italy are fairly easy, the others need a bit of research yet.
The boys have extended the challenge by asking to cook some of the foods as we go along. So we have hunted out a recipe for crispy fish fingers from Gs I Can Cook book and will be having Fish and Chips for our English food on Monday. E is cooking!
I’ll let you know how we get along – why not join in??
