World Book Night

Monday’s World Book Night saw 20,000 book givers giving away copies of 25 different books. For the second year I had the privelege of being a book giver and giving away Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist.

The story of an Andalusian shepherd boy who dreams of travelling the world in search of treasure. He journies to North Africa and in Egypt meets an alchemist who is waiting for him.

Its a story of listening to your heart and following your dreams.

I chose to give my copies to parents and carers at a local toddler group. A great way to encourage them to read a book they maybe hadn’t encountered. But also a way to make them feel valued.

Why not get involved next year?
