blowing dandelion clocks

Each Tuesday I post an idea or action to do – a little thing that reminds us of the excitement of childhood – Like blowing dandelion clocks!

Star gazing.

After the lanterns at TOAST! I was walking back home with G. It was a very clear night and there in the sky was an amazing constellation of stars. He looked up, immediatley stopped and half whispered ‘They are so beautiful’. We stopped and looked at them for ages but hardly spoke as we did so. On the same night some of the adults had been pointing out stars and planets having watched the BBCs Stargazing programmes earlier in the week.

So this week go outside on a clear night and stargaze. You don’t need to know what the constellations are called just spend time out there and gaze.
